We, as a global company, are committed to the decarbonized society that the world is now aiming for.

In order to clear the negative impact on the future caused by greenhouse gases, we would like to do what we can do now to develop our company toward a brighter future shared by the world.

Star Seiki aims to be a company who contributes to a de-carbonized society through not only the production process of the robots and other products, but also the procurement of parts and after delivery to customers.

カーボンニュートラルへの取組み

Target

① Aim to reduce CO2 emissions in 2027 by 30% from 2017 levels

CO2 emission targets 900t (30% = 386 ton reduction from 2017)

② Aim to reduce CO2 emissions in 2030 by 50% from 2017 levels

CO2 emission targets 643t (50% = 257 ton reduction from 2017)

CO2 emission results 1,286t

Efforts to date

太陽光パネル設置

Solar panel installation

Installed 1,120 solar panels on the roof of the Izumo Plant (Izumo City, Shimane Prefecture), which will generate 27.1% of the plant's average power consumption in 2020. Plans to add more solar panels in the future. We aim to double power generation 66% to generate our own power.

ペーパーレス化への取り組み

Paperless Initiatives

As part of our efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, we are actively working to reduce the amount of paper used at all of our domestic business sites to less than half by digitizing various internal forms and documents, as well as instruction manuals distributed to customers.

再生可能由来エネルギーへの転換

Converting to renewable energy sources

From July 2022, all electricity at the Star Seiki head office factory and employee dormitory will be converted to renewable energy

ハイブリッド車・電気自動車の採用

Company vehicles switched to Hybrid

All company vehicles used at Star Seiki will be replaced with hybrid and EV vehicles.

Energy-saving adsorption (air consumption 80% and power consumption 10% reduced)
Servo sleep function (servo sleep when stopped Reduced power consumption 17.5%)
Optimized mode operation (molding cycle automatically linked / servo OFF when stopped)

ロボットハンドの軽量化(eins軽量化パーツ)

Lightweight robot hand (eins lightweight parts)

Hand chucking parts, which are always attached to the robot, are often heavier than the product being conveyed.Lightweight parts are expected to reduce power consumption by reducing the load caused by the robot's mobility.
