In 1999, the representative office was incorporated as STAR SEIKI (HONG KONG) CO.,LTD. China Plant and Shen-zhen Service Center in Shen-zhen were also established. In 2001, STAR SEIKI (SHANGHAI) CO.,Ltd. was established. Even after this establishment, we have aggressively opened our sales branch offices one after another in China. With these companies and sales branch offices newly established, we have successfully expanded a beautifully combined network of its production, sales and after-sales service to every part of China, responding to a really wide variety of needs from customers in many countries including local Chinese companies. As the result of these business efforts, we are continuously increasing the production amount of machines every year as a total FA system manufacturer.

STAR SEIKI opened its representative office in Shanghai in February 1998 for the purpose of providing its users with technical advice on maintenance and information on new products. In April, 2001, the representative office was incorporated and become independent. By this, all activities including the sales have been expanded. Now, General Manager was transferred from Japan and recognized the company structure that strengthen the sales and technical support systems.

In 1988, we opened a representative office in Shanghai, and in 2001, we incorporated the Shanghai office and established STAR SEIKI(Shanghai)CO.,Ltd. In recent years, however, more and more manufacturers in the IT industry (mobile phones, etc.), precision parts, automobiles, office automation equipment, etc., have begun to expand their business into northern China (Beijing, Tianjin, Dalian, etc.), which has become the world's factory. The new office will be established in order to respond more promptly and strengthen sales and technical services. STAR SEIKI (Shanghai) CO.,Ltd. is registered in the Waigaoqiao Free Trade Zone, the only place in China where foreign companies can establish sales and service companies with their own capital, and has established a warehouse to stock take-out robots and various parts. By stocking various take-out machine parts, the Tianjin office, like Shanghai, will be able to shorten the time required to provide parts to users, reduce costs, and further enhance prompt after-sales service.

STAROBO ROBOT CO., LTD. was first established in 1987 as a wholly owned subsidiary of STAR SEIKI to serve as STAR SEIKI's production, sales, installation and maintenance service base in Taiwan. Its name was changed to the present STAR SEIKI TAIWAN, INC. in February 1997 and its sales and service area has been expanded from Taiwan to the neighboring markets. Sales are basically done via its sales representatives, but all the installation and maintenance works are essentially done by STAR SEIKI TAIWAN, INC. STAR SEIKI TAIWAN, INC. has a strong organizational structure with its base in Taipei and a branch office in Tainan and Taichun. It concentrates on sales of FA equipment and secondary processing machines, the demand of which has been increasing recently. It has experienced sales and maintenance staff including Japanese staff, and is highly valued in and out of Taiwan.
