STAR AUTOMATION, INC.(SAI) was established in the suburbs of Milwaukee, Wisconsin in early 1991 as a wholly owned subsidiary of Star Seiki Japan to serve as a production, sales and service base for Star Seiki in North America. SAI controls all of North America, and its sales are basically conducted through sales representatives (commonly known as sales reps) set up in each region. In principle, all sales of Star products to users in North America are made by SAI in the United States, and installation and after-sales service are the responsibility of SAI, too. In addition, for machines contracted and sold in Japan, SAI will be responsible for installation and after-sales service in North America at the request of Star Seiki Japan. However, Star Seiki Japan may dispatch a supervisor to install special equipment or equipment that has been contracted and sold in Japan, or at the customer's request. The majority of SAI's technical staff has many years of experience in robotics and automated equipment, and is known both inside and outside the company for its advanced technical capabilities in both hardware and software. In addition, the approximately 3,300 square meters office/factory is fully equipped with the latest processing and testing equipment. SAI has eight branch offices in North America based on its headquarters in suburban Milwaukee.
