STAR SEIKI established STAR SEIKI BRASIL LtdA. (SSB) in São Paulo in 1997 as a sales and service base for Star Seiki in South America. SSB controls all of South America and is responsible for sales and after-sales service of Star Seiki and Star Group companies' products to users in South America. Within South America, SSB sells both directly and through distributors. However, in some cases, Star Seiki may dispatch supervisors to install special machines that have been contracted and sold in Japan, or at the customer's request.
